Sharon Saxton
Non-Executive Director
Ms. Saxton has over 25 years' experience in leading Human Resources functions in multi-national organisations. Her sector experience includes media, travel, retail, education and publishing. Organisations she has worked for include Walt Disney, Virgin Atlantic, British Airways and Debenhams.
Ms. Saxton is currently working as Group Board Human Resources Director at City & Guilds and has her own company focussing on executive coaching and development.
Prior to joining City & Guilds, Ms. Saxton was the VP of Human Resources EMEA for The Walt Disney Co. where she provided a full HR service to 6000 employees responsible for USD$5.5 billion revenue, operating in TV, film, theatrical and retail businesses in 23 countries.
Her early career was at British Airways, Debenhams and then 10 years at Virgin Atlantic where she rose to the position of Head of Human Resources and Employee Development.
She has led HR strategy at management board level for the last 20 years and central to this has been the acquisition, development and retention of executive talent.
